You claim the items from your inventory. The fashion gear arrives in a version matched to your character’s gender, so decide on a gender before you open the box. The Fashion Tickets and dye ampoule that were advertised as preregistration rewards are also cosmetic items, which tells you plenty about a game selling itself on how freely you can style your character.
One thing that bothers me: the launch gift notice doesn’t say how many days the login bonus runs or what it contains. You have to check the in-game event screen for that. A Nexon x merpay campaign, a friend referral event, a home visit event and a play-time event are all running at the same time.
What should you do on day one? The order from character creation to claiming the launch gift
On day one: create your character, clear the tutorial, claim the launch gift, unlock the life skills, and note down your friend referral code — in that order. There’s no rush to claim the gift, but lock in the fact that the gear you receive changes with your character’s gender before you do anything else.

If you plan to use both PC and phone, make a NEXON ID on your phone first and log in there, then use the same ID on PC — no transfer hassle. Official guidance on device registration is up, so read it before you start playing across multiple devices. Personally I want to know whether I can get this onto my Steam Deck, but the PC build targets Windows, so that one’s waiting on someone actually testing it.

Mabinogi Mobile takes the world of Mabinogi, Nexon’s online RPG running since 2004, and rebuilds it to play comfortably on mobile. It launched in Korea in 2025 and won Game of the Year at the 2025 Korea Game Awards. After Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, Japan’s release landed in October 2026.
Preregistrations in Japan passed 350,000, and the preload that opened on October 5 took the number one spot on the App Store rankings. According to Famitsu, Tokyo Game Show 2026 brought the announcement that Kaede Higuchi of Nijisanji voices the NPC Daisy.
Life skills are the heart of this game. There’s gathering, fishing, cooking, crafting and instrument performance, and you can build and decorate your own home. There’s combat too, but leading with a pastoral mood and housing puts it at the exact opposite end of the spectrum from AION2, the straight-ahead MMORPG that launched in Japan the same week — the split between them could not be cleaner. My read is that this becomes the place people go when they’re worn out from competing with others in online games.
