Building that nine-piece set of new art entirely around villains is the hook here, and it’s the right call: JoJo is a series whose antagonist designs are what stick in your memory. Setting up inside LUCUA, a shopping complex directly connected to Osaka Station, is also strong positioning for tourist foot traffic.

What can you do at the attraction? Get matched to one of roughly 100 villains

The attraction “SPW Foundation Institute for Latent Villainy” diagnoses which of roughly 100 villains comes closest to a participant’s own capacity for evil.

The diagnosis runs on two tests: a Mental Wickedness Test and a Behavioral Danger Test. Based on those results, one villain is selected out of the pool of about 100. Afterward, you receive a photo taken with the villain you were matched to. A single play is $6 (tax included).

That “roughly 100” figure is doing a lot of work. JoJo’s antagonists across Parts 1 through 9 number in the hundreds, so getting 100 of them into the diagnosis pool means some seriously obscure assassins are probably in the mix. The gacha-like unpredictability of who you’ll get, combined with the “the villain closest to you” framing, is a smart piece of design.

What are the mini-game prizes? A Ripple roulette and a Jotaro-themed set

There are two mini-games: “It’s Back! Memetaa! Ripple Roulette” and “Go for the Home Run! OH! That’s a BASEBALL!!”

Mini-game Gameplay and prizes
It’s Back! Memetaa! Ripple Roulette
$4 (tax included) per play
Punch the frog on Zeppeli’s cue and get graded. Prize A: acrylic boards, 14 types / Prize B: acrylic stands, 14 types / Prize C: die-cut stickers, 28 types at random
Go for the Home Run! OH! That’s a BASEBALL!! Prize A: hat keychain / drawstring pouch; Prize B: acrylic keychains, 8 types; Prize C: square can badges, 15 types at random (all Jotaro-themed)

Ripple Roulette has you punching a frog on Zeppeli’s cue, which turns Part 1’s training sequence into a game more or less verbatim. Anyone who’s read the manga will know instantly what they’re being asked to do. The Jotaro-themed mini-game awards a hat keychain and a drawstring pouch, turning the character’s visual shorthand directly into objects.

Are the prizes the same as Tokyo’s? A new lineup, with a few exceptions

With a few exceptions, the prizes are an all-new lineup that differs from THE★JOJO WORLD TOKYO.

For a regional location, that matters a lot. If everyone who already visited the Tokyo venue was just pulling for the same prizes in Osaka, there’d be little reason to make the trip. And looking at the scale of the random tiers, 14 types, 28 types, 15 types, completionist fans are in for a heavy lift. Bring a prepared wallet.

Hirohiko Araki’s new illustrations also roll out onto original merchandise. They’re not confined to the entrance display, so there’s real value in going for the artwork alone.

Summary: Opens December 4, and the diagnosis attraction costs $6 per play

THE★JOJO WORLD OSAKA opens on December 4, 2026, on the 10th floor of LUCUA South in Osaka. Hirohiko Araki’s newly drawn illustrations of nine villains will be displayed at the entrance and used on original merchandise.

The attraction “SPW Foundation Institute for Latent Villainy” uses the results of a Mental Wickedness Test and a Behavioral Danger Test to pick the single villain out of roughly 100 who best matches a participant’s capacity for evil, and hands over a photo taken with them at the end. One play is $6 (tax included).

For the mini-games, “It’s Back! Memetaa! Ripple Roulette” costs $4 (tax included) per play and offers Prize A acrylic boards in 14 types, Prize B acrylic stands in 14 types, and Prize C die-cut stickers in 28 random types. The other, “Go for the Home Run! OH! That’s a BASEBALL!!,” offers Prize A a hat keychain and drawstring pouch, Prize B acrylic keychains in 8 types, and Prize C square can badges in 15 random types, all Jotaro-themed. With a few exceptions, the prizes are a new lineup distinct from the Tokyo venue’s.

SPOTGEEKS VERDICT

New art of nine villains, and a diagnosis that matches you to one of roughly 100 of them. Those two pillars give this whole thing a coherent spine. What has carried JoJo as a series is arguably its antagonists more than its heroes, so putting them front and center is a sound decision. The prizes have been changed from the Tokyo version too, which gives people who visit both an actual reason to.

December 4, LUCUA South 10F. Finding out which villain is closest to me feels a little terrifying, honestly.
