Premium Bandai’s Hobby Online Shop is opening orders on a new MG and an MG reissue an hour apart on Thursday, October 22, 2026. At 11:00 a.m. it’s the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam MSV entry MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue] (US$77, tax included), and at noon it’s MG 1/100 Superbia GN-X (US$40, tax included) from Mobile Suit Gundam 00V. Both are scheduled to ship in March 2027.
One is a Premium Bandai MG reissue staple, finished in glossy gold plating and convertible into a standard Hyaku Shiki. The other is 00V’s amphibious assault machine, making its Master Grade debut with newly tooled GN Kunai in hand. The two could hardly point in more different directions, yet here they are on the same day with the same ship month.
This is the third time Hyaku Shiki Kai has gone up for order, counting from its 2016 debut. The price has climbed from roughly US$71 at launch to US$77, so if you’re the type who has been telling yourself “I’ll buy it next time I see it,” this is the round where you have to decide. Superbia GN-X, meanwhile, is a brand-new kit announced at October’s All Japan Model & Hobby Show, and US$40 is remarkably easy to swallow for a Premium Bandai MG.
Below I’ve laid out both kits’ pricing, dates and specs from primary sources, then dug into how Hyaku Shiki Kai differs from the Mass Production Type version and what, exactly, is new on Superbia GN-X – lore included. Everything you need to decide which one to lock in is here.

- MG Superbia GN-X brings newly tooled GN Kunai and a hanging beam, plus a rundown of its 00V lore
All prices and dates come from the Premium Bandai product pages as listed on October 22, 2026. Premium Bandai order runs can close as soon as the prepared stock allocation is filled, so if you’re on the fence, file that away first.
*Prices in this article are converted from Japanese yen at ¥153 = US$1 (October 2026 rate).
The two MG kits opening for order on October 22: prices, order times and ship windows compared
MG Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue] is US$77 (tax included) with orders opening at 11:00 a.m. on October 22, while MG Superbia GN-X is US$40 (tax included) with orders opening at noon the same day. Both are scheduled to ship in March 2027.
| Item | MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue] | MG 1/100 Superbia GN-X |
|---|---|---|
| Price (tax included) | US$77 | US$40 |
| Points earned | 117P | 60P |
| Orders open | Thursday, October 22, 2026, 11:00 a.m. | Thursday, October 22, 2026, noon |
| Scheduled shipping | March 2027 | March 2027 |
| Category | Reissue (first run August 2016) | New kit (Master Grade debut) |
| Series | Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam MSV | Mobile Suit Gundam 00V |
| Store | Hobby Online Shop | Hobby Online Shop |
Both kits together come to US$117 (tax included) and earn 117P plus 60P in points. The one-hour gap between the 11:00 a.m. and noon openings matters more than it looks: it lets you lock in Hyaku Shiki Kai first, then move on to Superbia. If you’re going for both, clear your lunch break.
Don’t overlook that March 2027 ship date either. There’s nearly five months between ordering and delivery, so depending on your payment method you’ll want to check when the charge actually lands.
What kind of kit is MG Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue]? Gold plating, and it builds into a standard Hyaku Shiki too
MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Kai renders the Zeta MSV machine in glossy gold plating and throws in a full set of parts to build it as a standard Hyaku Shiki instead. The sections unique to the Kai – head, shoulder armor, arms, front armor, rear armor, legs, feet and backpack – are all newly tooled with MG-standard detail.
The big selling point is that you get a gleaming exterior straight out of the box. The plating is pre-applied, so there’s no fussing with paint to get that gold. Better still, the Hyaku Shiki parts are plated too, which means parts selection also gets you a plated glossy Hyaku Shiki.
Newly tooled parts and included weapons
Weapons included are the Beam Rifle, Beam Saber and Clay Bazooka – three in total. That matches the configuration Dengeki Hobby Web reported for the 2019 reissue, and there’s no notice of any spec change for this round.
- Newly tooled: head / shoulder armor / arms / front armor / rear armor / legs / feet / backpack
- Included weapons: Beam Rifle / Beam Saber / Clay Bazooka
- Parts selection: full set of parts to build a standard Hyaku Shiki (plated)
- Materials: PS, PE
On the perennial weak spot of plated kits – gate marks – the original release materials noted that certain sections were designed so the gates sit where they won’t be conspicuous on plated surfaces. Even so, with plating, the finish lives or dies by how you handle the gates during cutting. Have a fresh pair of nippers ready. That’s the right call.
Third order run since the 2016 debut: how has the price changed?
MG Hyaku Shiki Kai first shipped in August 2016, and a reissue order run opened at 1:00 p.m. on September 13, 2019 (shipping January 2020). This is its third order run, and the price has stepped up each time.
| Order run | Ship window | Price (tax included) |
|---|---|---|
| First run | August 2016 | Approx. US$71 (reference price at the then-8% tax rate) |
| First reissue | January 2020 | US$72 |
| Second reissue (this run) | March 2027 | US$77 |
That’s about US$6 up from the first run and US$5 up from the last one. Given the across-the-board Gunpla price revisions of recent years, the increase is well within expectations – but note that the previous order run was in 2019, which is to say seven years ago. With gaps like that, “wait for the next reissue” is a losing strategy.
How does it differ from the Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai? Plating and price
As kits, Hyaku Shiki Kai and the Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai split along two lines: whether the parts are plated and what’s mounted on the shoulders. The Mass Production Type, which opened for reissue orders on September 4 (US$42, tax included, shipping February 2027), uses unplated gold-molded plastic and mounts a Beam Gatling Gun on its shoulder hardpoint.
| Item | MG Hyaku Shiki Kai | MG Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai |
|---|---|---|
| Finish | Glossy gold plating | Unplated gold-molded plastic |
| Included weapons | Beam Rifle / Beam Saber / Clay Bazooka | Beam Gatling Gun / Beam Rifle / Beam Saber / Clay Bazooka |
| Converts to standard Hyaku Shiki | Yes (plated) | Yes (molded plastic) |
| Price (tax included) | US$77 | US$42 |
| Scheduled shipping | March 2027 | February 2027 (September 4 order run) |
The gap is US$35, and you can safely assume nearly all of it is the cost of the plating. If you want a Hyaku Shiki Kai that gleams the moment it’s assembled, it’s Hyaku Shiki Kai or nothing; if you’re planning a full paint job and laying down your own base coat, the Mass Production Type is far easier to work with. I build unmodified but fully painted, so honestly both appeal to me – I just don’t have the nerve yet to strip plating and paint over it.
A note on the lore: Hyaku Shiki Kai carries the model number MSR-00100S. It’s an AEUG attack-type mobile suit that Anaheim Electronics developed out of the Hyaku Shiki, defined by an enlarged head with improved sensor range, a high-mobility backpack modeled on the Zeta Gundam’s balancer binders, and hardpoints on both shoulders. Kazumi Fujita redesigned the machine from rough sketches by Mamoru Nagano, and the way those surfaces pop under plating is a direct product of that design.
What kind of kit is MG Superbia GN-X? The GN Kunai and the hanging pose are the new parts
MG 1/100 Superbia GN-X is a new kit rendering the amphibious assault machine from Mobile Suit Gundam 00V in Master Grade form. Its distinctive head, waist and foot armor are reproduced with partial new tooling, and the GN Kunai on both arms are newly tooled as well. It’s US$40 (tax included), with orders opening at noon on October 22 and shipping scheduled for March 2027.
The kit was announced at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show in October 2026, displayed at the BANDAI SPIRITS booth as a Premium Bandai exclusive. Three weeks from announcement to orders opening is quick work.

That phrase – “the kind of posing only a machine used on special missions can pull off” – captures this kit’s character perfectly. Rather than bolting on some flashy oversized weapon, the new parts are all aimed at recreating scenes of infiltration and assault.
What’s new, and what’s in the box
Here are the new elements and included items as listed on the Premium Bandai product page.
- GN Kunai (newly tooled): mounted on both arms, sculpted as physical blades integrated with the GN Vulcans
- Articulated feet: the feet open up, letting the kit pose as though gripping something
- Hanging beam (newly tooled): combines with the included Action Base to recreate a pose dangling from a beam
- Included items: Action Base / effect parts / hand parts / hanging beam / display mounting parts
- Included weapons: GN Kunai
The dedicated “dangling from a beam” display setup is what stands out. An Action Base comes standard, and on top of that they tooled a beam part from scratch. That means you can display the exact scenario 00V describes – clinging to the ceiling of a dark hangar, waiting for prey – and at US$40 with a stand included, that’s generous.
There is a catch, though. The only weapon listed is the GN Kunai, and the amphibious assault unit from the lore (hover unit, weapon pack and sensor unit) doesn’t appear on the product page’s included items list. If you were hoping for the unit-equipped configuration, you’ll have to make peace with its absence. The accurate read is that despite “amphibious assault machine” in the name, the kit renders the base machine only.
What is Superbia GN-X? The Innovade tech demonstrator from 00V
Superbia GN-X, model number GNX-612T/AA, is a pseudo-GN-drive-equipped mobile suit belonging to the Earth Federation Forces (A-Laws) in Mobile Suit Gundam 00V. The lore has it developed from the GN-XIII (Earth Federation type) as an amphibious assault machine launching from underwater, with Hiling Care as its pilot.
The machine packs in a long list of cutting-edge Innovade technology, which puts it close in standing to the GN-XIV then under development as a next-generation unit. Its onboard armament consists of two GN Vulcans in the abdomen, deployable GN Claws in the soles of the feet and two GN Kunai on the arms, with GN Missiles and a GN Beam Gun carried on the amphibious assault unit. The kit’s “feet open up to grip things” feature is, fittingly, a reproduction of those sole-mounted GN Claws.
The base GN-XIII already got an MG back in 2018 (a Premium Bandai exclusive, with the Earth Federation type shipping in December 2018), and since this product description promises “partial new tooling on the exterior,” it’s natural to read Superbia GN-X as a variant kit built on that MG GN-XIII tooling. If you’ve built MG GN-XIII, you can already picture how the inner frame goes together.

Which should you buy? How to choose between Hyaku Shiki Kai and Superbia GN-X
Here’s the short version: go Hyaku Shiki Kai if the sheer length of its reissue gaps weighs on you, and Superbia GN-X if price and new-kit scarcity matter more. Their personalities are too different for an apples-to-apples comparison, but framing it around “what happens if you miss this run” brings things into focus.
✅ MG Hyaku Shiki Kai suits you if
- You want a plated kit that delivers finished gold straight out of assembly
- The idea of choosing between Hyaku Shiki and Hyaku Shiki Kai from one box appeals to you
- You’ve done the math on a seven-year gap since the last order run and want to lock it in now
✅ MG Superbia GN-X suits you if
- You collect 00V mobile suits, or you want Hiling Care’s machine
- You want to grab a brand-new MG at US$40 with an Action Base included
- You want to display the scene of it dangling from a beam
Let me flag the downsides on both sides too. Hyaku Shiki Kai’s plating makes gate cleanup genuinely tricky, and it’s awkward for painters. Superbia GN-X doesn’t include the amphibious assault unit, and its new parts center on the GN Kunai and the beam, so anyone expecting a “fully loaded” build may come away wanting. Even so, US$117 for both, with a plated gold legend and 00V’s hidden gem arriving in the same month, is not a bad bit of shopping at all.

Summary: MG Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue] and MG Superbia GN-X open for order on October 22
One more pass over the essentials before you go.
- MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Kai [Reissue]: US$77 (tax included), orders open Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., shipping scheduled for March 2027. Glossy gold plating, convertible into a standard Hyaku Shiki. This is its third order run, following the 2016 debut and the 2019 reissue
- MG 1/100 Superbia GN-X: US$40 (tax included), orders open Thursday, October 22, 2026 at noon, shipping scheduled for March 2027. New tooling for the head, waist and foot armor, the GN Kunai and the hanging beam. Action Base included
- Both are handled by Premium Bandai’s Hobby Online Shop. Order runs may close as soon as the prepared stock allocation is filled
With Hyaku Shiki Kai, that seven-year gap is the whole story. Yes, the price is up about US$6 from the first run, but for a plated kit whose next window nobody can predict, this could effectively be the last bus out. Superbia GN-X may not come with the amphibious assault unit, but being able to recreate that dangling-from-a-beam scene, stand included, for US$40 struck me as exactly the kind of playfulness Premium Bandai does well. The nerve it takes to give a minor 00V machine the Master Grade treatment deserves credit on its own.
Hyaku Shiki Kai at 11, Superbia at noon. Clearing the whole lunch break is worth it.
