IDOLY PRIDE, the idol management RPG operated by QualiArts, is shutting down on March 1, 2027. The announcement came on October 30, 2026 via the official X account and an in-game notice. That brings the curtain down roughly five years and eight months after launch on June 24, 2021.

Unused paid Blue Diamonds are eligible for refunds. The application process and schedule will be posted in the in-game notices. Livestreams and various events will continue through to the shutdown, and after service ends an update to an offline version that runs without a server connection is planned.

IDOLY PRIDE was an anime-first idol project: the TV series aired in January 2021 and the game followed that June. This article lays out the shutdown schedule, how refunds and the offline version are being handled, and where IDOLY PRIDE sits as a franchise.

Let’s start with the official announcement.

When does IDOLY PRIDE shut down, and what was announced?

Service ends on Monday, March 1, 2027. As of October 31, 2026 the exact cutoff time is not written in the official X post, so you have to check the in-game notice for it.

Thank you so much for your continued support of IDOLY PRIDE. We regret to inform you that service will end as of Monday, March 1, 2027.

That leaves four months between the announcement and the shutdown. The team says it will run final events and livestreams during that window, so this is not an abrupt closing of the doors. The October 30 post framed it as sudden news, but the fact that there is room to schedule events beforehand suggests the operators had this prepared well before they said anything.

How do Blue Diamond refunds and the offline version work?

Unused paid Blue Diamonds are eligible for a refund. The application window and the procedure will be posted in the in-game notices, so you need to open the app and check before service ends. As of October 31, 2026, the date Blue Diamond sales stop is not stated on the official X account.

On the offline version, the official wording is that an update to an offline version is planned in connection with the end of service. What will actually be playable in it, whether that covers live performances, story chapters or the full song list, has not been announced. Offline versions as a parting gift for shuttered mobile games are slowly becoming more common, as with Fate/Grand Order Arcade and Love Live! School Idol Festival, but how much survives in a title like IDOLY PRIDE, whose whole selling point was 3D live performances, is worth watching closely.

Two things to be careful about. First, a lot of titles only start accepting refund applications after service ends, which means deleting the app early can leave you unable to see the instructions. Second, if the offline version arrives as an update, you may need to keep the app installed to receive it at all. In both cases, the smart move is to wait for the official schedule before doing anything.

Item How it is handled
Unused Blue Diamonds Refundable. Method and window to be posted in in-game notices
End of Blue Diamond sales No official announcement as of October 31, 2026
Events before shutdown Livestreams and assorted events planned
Offline version Planned as an update. Contents not yet announced
What to do with the app Safest not to delete it until refund and offline details are posted

What kind of game was IDOLY PRIDE?

In IDOLY PRIDE you play as an idol manager, guiding your assigned group toward the top. Its core was 3D-model live performances paired with competitive live battles called Auditions.

The project started with anime rather than a game, with the TV series airing in January 2021. The game launched six months later in June. It was a large-scale production backed by Music Ray’n of the Sony Music family, CyberAgent and Straight Edge, and the franchise as a whole runs about six years. In-game collaborations included Hatsune Miku, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and the 10th anniversary of Is the Order a Rabbit?.

Operator QualiArts is better known as the studio behind Gakuen Idolmaster. IDOLY PRIDE’s 3D live staging and Audition systems are the groundwork the company laid before Gakumas existed. I came in through Gakumas myself, but it is worth knowing that the same studio was chasing the same direction with its own IP more than five years earlier.

Where QualiArts stands now, and what the shutdown signals

As of October 31, 2026, QualiArts has not publicly explained why it is ending service. The statement only apologizes for the sudden news, with no mention of revenue or development resources. Rather than filling that gap with guesswork, let’s just line up the facts.

QualiArts launched Gakuen Idolmaster in May 2024, and that game is still running. IDOLY PRIDE and Gakumas are both 3D-live-driven idol games, which means one studio was running two titles pointed in a very similar direction at the same time. Whether Gakumas factored into the decision to close IDOLY PRIDE has not been addressed officially, but people are going to read it as a consolidation of resources.

IDOLY PRIDE’s music and characters survive the game as anime and as recorded releases. If the offline version includes live performance playback, the game-side assets will not vanish either. The end of a mobile game is slowly shifting from “everything disappears” to “it stays playable in some form,” and IDOLY PRIDE joining that trend should count as a small mercy for fans.

The bottom line: IDOLY PRIDE ends March 1, 2027, and the offline version is the thing to watch

IDOLY PRIDE shuts down on Monday, March 1, 2027. The announcement came on October 30, 2026; the game launched on June 24, 2021, for a run of about five years and eight months. Unused Blue Diamonds are refundable, with the application process to be explained in the in-game notices. Livestreams and events continue until the shutdown, and an update to an offline version is planned afterward. The reason for the closure and the contents of the offline version have not been announced as of October 31, 2026.

SPOTGEEKS VERDICT

IDOLY PRIDE began in an unusual order, anime first and game second. Five years and eight months is not a short life, and the decision to prepare an offline version is not a bad way to go out. The only thing to do right now is leave the app installed and keep an eye on the in-game notices for the refund schedule. That’s it.

Four months until March 1. I intend to see every last live performance through to the end.
