Valve has kicked off the Steam Autumn Sale 2026. It runs for one week, from 2 a.m. JST on October 2, 2026 until 2 a.m. JST on October 9, 2026. Palworld, PRAGMATA, Escape from Tarkov and Resident Evil Requiem are among the games included.

The real eye-catcher is the “Featured Deep Discounts” slot. Monster Hunter Rise drops from 3,990 yen to 399 yen (about US$26 down to US$3, converted at 153 yen = US$1) for 90% off, The Talos Principle 2 goes from 3,400 yen (US$22) to 340 yen (US$2) for 90% off, and Far Cry 6 falls from 9,240 yen (US$60) to 924 yen (US$6), also 90% off. That’s three 90% cuts lined up side by side.

There are perks beyond the discounts, too. Checking your Discovery Queue nets you a free sticker, and the Steam Points Shop has added a profile background and an avatar frame.

In this article I’ve compiled the actual yen prices and discount percentages for all 17 notable titles, pulled from Steam’s official API. I buy with one eye on my Steam Deck’s remaining storage every single time, so I can’t make a call without seeing the numbers. Let’s go through them.

Every price here is real data pulled from the Steam Store API as of October 2, 2026. Prices can shift even mid-sale, so always double-check the store page before you buy.

When does the Steam Autumn Sale 2026 end? Dates and featured titles

The sale runs from 2 a.m. JST on October 2, 2026 until 2 a.m. JST on October 9, 2026. That’s effectively a short seven-day window.

The lineup Valve published includes Palworld, PRAGMATA, Escape from Tarkov and Resident Evil Requiem. On top of that, the “Featured Deep Discounts” slot puts Monster Hunter Rise, The Talos Principle 2 and Far Cry 6 at special prices.

Also listed: Bodycam, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Hi-Fi RUSH, Castlevania Advance Collection and ARC Raiders.

Worth noting that Square Enix and Atlus were already running early sales before this one opened. As for the shape of the lineup, it’s a mix of big Japanese releases, indies and Western staples.

Steam Autumn Sale 2026 price list: how much are the 17 notable titles?

Below are the yen prices and discount rates pulled from Steam’s official API as of October 2, 2026, with dollar equivalents alongside. No guesswork whatsoever.

Title List price Sale price (discount)
Monster Hunter Rise 3,990 yen (US$26) 399 yen (US$3) — 90%
The Talos Principle 2 3,400 yen (US$22) 340 yen (US$2) — 90%
Far Cry 6 9,240 yen (US$60) 924 yen (US$6) — 90%
Ori and the Will of the Wisps 3,132 yen (US$20) 313 yen (US$2) — 90%
Castlevania Advance Collection 2,200 yen (US$14) 660 yen (US$4) — 70%
Hi-Fi RUSH 4,355 yen (US$28) 1,959 yen (US$13) — 55%
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered 6,490 yen (US$42) 3,245 yen (US$21) — 50%
ARC Raiders 6,390 yen (US$42) 3,195 yen (US$21) — 50%
Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT 7,590 yen (US$50) 4,554 yen (US$30) — 40%
Palworld 3,400 yen (US$22) 2,380 yen (US$16) — 30%
BIOHAZARD requiem (Resident Evil Requiem) 8,990 yen (US$59) 6,293 yen (US$41) — 30%
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl 7,950 yen (US$52) 5,565 yen (US$36) — 30%
Keep Driving 2,000 yen (US$13) 1,400 yen (US$9) — 30%
Escape from Tarkov 7,500 yen (US$49) 5,625 yen (US$37) — 25%
IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator 1,980 yen (US$13) 1,485 yen (US$10) — 25%
PRAGMATA 7,990 yen (US$52) 6,392 yen (US$42) — 20%
Bodycam 3,900 yen (US$25) 3,120 yen (US$20) — 20%

What jumps out when you line them up is how wildly the discounts vary, from 20% all the way to 90%. Anything close to a new release—PRAGMATA, BIOHAZARD requiem, Bodycam—stops at 20 to 30%, while the older blockbusters plunge straight down to 90%.

These prices were measured from the Steam Store API on October 2, 2026, and may change over the course of the sale.

Which games are 90% off? Three heavy hitters plus one more

Four titles are at 90% off: Monster Hunter Rise, The Talos Principle 2, Far Cry 6 and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Every one of them lands under 1,000 yen.

Far Cry 6 is the wildest of the bunch, going from 9,240 yen to 924 yen—a difference of 8,316 yen (about US$54). A full-price open-world FPS is now cheaper than a single indie game.

  • Monster Hunter Rise, 399 yen (US$3) — the easiest possible entry point into the series. The PC version gives you a lot of freedom on frame rate
  • The Talos Principle 2, 340 yen (US$2) — a first-person puzzler. The sheer volume of philosophical text is absurd, and it keeps you busy for ages
  • Far Cry 6, 924 yen (US$6) — an open-world FPS set across a huge island. Insane value per hour
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps, 313 yen (US$2) — a Metroidvania with gorgeous art and a superb score

As a buying call, these four are a no-brainer at these prices. A 90% cut isn’t something that rolls around several times a year, and seeing it on big-budget games like Far Cry 6 and Monster Hunter Rise is rare.

One caveat, though. A 90% discount is also proof that a lot of time has passed. If you’re buying for the online component, check the current player count first to be safe. I once bought something without doing that and ended up with a game where matchmaking simply never connected.

What else is there besides discounts? Free sticker and the Points Shop

During the sale, checking your Discovery Queue earns you a free sticker. No purchase required.

The Steam Points Shop has also added an Autumn Sale 2026 profile background and avatar frame. Those two cost points.

Freebies like this are easy to overlook, but the Discovery Queue takes a handful of clicks. If you’re opening the store during the sale anyway, knock it out at the same time.

One thing that gives me pause: stickers and profile backgrounds have no practical value. Treat them as a bonus, nothing more—there’s little reason to tour the store specifically to collect them.

Which titles should you target? How to buy by price bracket

If you’re working backward from a budget, buying all four of the sub-1,000-yen 90% deals is by far the most efficient move. That’s 1,976 yen (about US$13) total for three big-budget games and one indie classic.

In the mid-range, Hi-Fi RUSH at 1,959 yen (US$13) and Castlevania Advance Collection at 660 yen (US$4) are the strongest picks. The former has a rock-solid reputation as a rhythm-action game, and the latter bundles up the GBA-era Castlevania titles in one package. Retro fans will find that second one impossible to pass up.

If you want something newer, there’s PRAGMATA at 6,392 yen (US$42) and BIOHAZARD requiem at 6,293 yen (US$41). The discounts stop at 20 to 30%, but getting anything off games this recent isn’t bad. If you’d rather wait for a bigger drop, holding out until the next major sale is a defensible choice.

And don’t sleep on Keep Driving at 1,400 yen (US$9). The Switch and PS5 versions were never released in Japan, so the Steam version is the only way in. Its Steam reviews sit at 93% “Very Positive.”

Steam Autumn Sale 2026: everything you need to know

To recap: the Steam Autumn Sale 2026 runs from 2 a.m. JST on October 2, 2026 until 2 a.m. JST on October 9, 2026. Palworld, PRAGMATA, Escape from Tarkov and Resident Evil Requiem are among the featured titles.

In the “Featured Deep Discounts” slot, Monster Hunter Rise is 399 yen (US$3) at 90% off, The Talos Principle 2 is 340 yen (US$2) at 90% off, Far Cry 6 is 924 yen (US$6) at 90% off, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps is 313 yen (US$2) at 90% off. Outside the discounts, checking your Discovery Queue gets you a free sticker, and the Steam Points Shop has a profile background and avatar frame available (all prices measured from the Steam Store on October 2, 2026, and subject to change during the sale).

SPOTGEEKS VERDICT

This Autumn Sale has an unusually steep gap between its highs and lows. Four games sit at 90% off while the newer stuff stalls out at 20%. In other words, this isn’t a “browse everything” sale—it’s a sale where you pick your targets and go get them. Those four 90% deals (1,976 yen, or about US$13, all in) are the most efficient purchase on the board. Far Cry 6 at 924 yen is an absurd number for an open-world FPS. The thing to watch is the window: there are only seven days, so the sale will end while you’re still thinking about what’s in your cart. And remember that 90% off is the flip side of age—if a game lives or dies on its online mode, check the player count before you pay.

The sale ends at 2 a.m. on October 9. Hesitating is the expensive option.
